We are seeking an Instructional Design Specialist to join our team! The Instructional Design Specialist designs and develops relevant and engaging training materials, including videos, e-learning modules, workbooks, instructor guides, and job aids. Helps to oversee the use of and assists with the administration of the Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technology platforms for the company.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uses instructional design and multi-media skills to design and develop new learning materials including videos, e-learning modules, workbooks, instructor guides, and job aids that reflect adult learning theory and will drive organization learning and results.
  • Modifies and updates existing training curriculum, content, materials, job aids as needed that consistently reinforce the P.F. Changs brand.
  • Collaborate with the leadership and operations team to analyze and prioritize training and development needs.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create learning objectives in order to ensure quality and accuracy of designs.
  • Assist in administration of the LMS, managing and uploading content, running reports, troubleshooting with users, course enrollment, and coordinating with IT Support and HR team as needed.
  • Keep informed of the latest trends in instructional design and technology in training.
  • Provides input on how current training and administration processes can be streamlined and improved and how performance objectives for training program and assessments are aligned.
  • Project Management able to meet deadlines.
  • Clearly communicates project progress with management.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Degree in instructional design, communication, graphic design, or similar field; Masters degree in instructional design (or similar) preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in design and development of instructional material
  • Experience with software design tools such as Captivate, Storyline and Articulate Suite, In Design, Photoshop, Publisher, and other leading, similar design software
  • Experience with multi-media production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Time management skills with strong attention to details; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet assigned project deadlines in a timely manner; self-starter
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Ability to positively influence others

Benefits

Flexibility: Work from home a majority of the time. Requires occassional time in the office (located at Bell Road & Hayden Road).

Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision plans start the 1st of the month after hire.

Paid Time Off: 20 days annually for sick/personal time (prorated for new hires).

Paid Holidays: 12 company holidays plus 2 floating holidays for full and part-time team members.

Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 annually for eligible team members after six months.

Pay Range: $60,00-$68,000 per year + 10% annual bonus
