McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a creative, innovative, strategic Manager, Instructional Designer/ Math (K-12) for our Reveal programs.     

You will be a valuable member of a collaborative group of Instructional Designers, closely partnering with teams focused on content, product management, UX, and creative media. As part of this team, you will create robust digital tools, curriculum and learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day. The Manager, Instructional Designer/ Math (K-12)  is a digital savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible and accountable for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for the Math programs. 

It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.  

What you will be doing: 

  • Lead and manage a growing team of Math Instructional Designers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with a wide group of external vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, subject matter experts, academic design, project management, and software development, to build a digital program from the ground up.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and peers across various functional areas, ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Make decisions based on resource availability and functional scope, while developing and managing operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.
  • Leverage feedback from external sources to improve products and services, and clearly articulate customer or market problems when making recommendations.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration by bringing together talented individuals to generate innovative solutions and improve new ideas.
  • Continuously drive improvement and ensure that new ideas are supported, rather than discouraged, to advance the development of high-quality digital learning products

What you need to be considered:   

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of management experience with direct reports, including team leadership and development.
  • Expertise in Instructional Design, with a strong understanding of research, theory, and practical application in the field of education.
  • Broad experience with various design authoring tools and the ability to create engaging educational content.
  • Experience working with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deploy and track learning programs.
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing interactive materials, multimedia, and learning games in an educational setting, along with competency in HTML and CSS.

The pay range for this position is between $72,000 – $93,950 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
