About the Role:

Din Tai Fung is seeking a strategic and innovative Instructional Design Manager to lead our instructional design efforts within the Learning and Development team. This role will manage the development of impactful and engaging learning experiences, including e-learning modules, workshops, and interactive activities. The Instructional Design Manager will oversee instructional design, working closely with content specialists and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure all learning content is accurate, aligned with business objectives, and consistently meets brand standards. This role will play a critical part in driving continuous improvement in our training programs while ensuring consistency and excellence in learning delivery across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Development of Engaging Learning Experiences:
    • Manage the transformation of content drafts into dynamic e-learning modules, workshops, presentations, scenarios and other learning materials.
    • Guide the team in using instructional design models and tools to create compelling and effective learning experiences that align with business goals.
    • Ensure that all learning programs are scalable, engaging, and aligned with Din Tai Fung’s learning and people development strategy.
  • Collaborate to Ensure Content Accuracy and Impact:
    • Work closely with content specialists, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure that training content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to the needs of the organization.
    • Facilitate content review processes, incorporating feedback to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Leverage Technology and Instructional Design Tools:
    • Lead the team in utilizing e-learning authoring applications (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), Adobe Creative Suite, and other tools to develop training materials.
    • Stay informed about emerging instructional design trends and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
    • Identify and implement the most effective tools and technologies to streamline content creation and delivery.
  • Ensure Quality and Foster Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of all training materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with Din Tai Fung’s brand standards.
    • Analyze learning effectiveness using data-driven insights from assessments, learner feedback, and performance metrics to refine training programs.
    • Implement strategies for continuous improvement in the learning design and development process.
  • Oversee Training Program Development and Deployment:
    • Manage the end-to-end process of developing and deploying training programs, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and on time.
    • Optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that all learning content is accessible, user-friendly, and available to the target audience.
    • Measure the effectiveness of learning programs and use data to recommend improvements and enhancements.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with a proven track record of leading and developing engaging learning programs.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing instructional design teams or projects.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant instructional design technologies.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in collaborating with content specialists and SMEs to create effective learning content.
    • Deep understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and experience applying them to real-world training initiatives.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or advanced education in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field preferred.
