Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Educational Technology, Computer Science or a related field and  two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 6 (Hourly)

Position Description:

The Instructional Design and Technology team of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking an Instructional Design and Technology Specialist II – Course Development to provide instructional technology support and faculty training.  This position will help develop and review instructional materials, accessible documents, videos, and/or other resources for online courses in Blackboard.  The IDT Specialist II – Course Development will also provide faculty training and support for instructional technologies used in online and blended courses; assist with special projects/initiatives, including those related to accessibility, quality assurance reviews, online teaching, and/or instructional design; provide research assistance on teaching pedagogy, instructional technology, and instructional design best practices and special projects; and execute a variety of technical functions to assist the Senior Instructional Designers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and review of instructional materials, accessible documents, videos, and/or other resources for online courses in Blackboard
  • Provide faculty training and support on instructional technologies used in online and blended courses
  • Assist with special projects/initiatives, including those related to accessibility, quality assurance reviews, online teaching, and/or instructional design
  • Provide research assistance on teaching pedagogy, instructional technology, and instructional design best practices and special projects
  • Execute a variety of technical functions to assist the Senior Instructional Designers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with higher education faculty and instructional designers in an online learning context
  • Ability to create/edit accessible documents and materials for individuals with disabilities
  • Familiarity with multimedia creation/editing software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Work Hours and Location

This is a full-time position with a 37.5hr regular workweek. The work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus.  Remote/hybrid work and flexible hours may be considered with business needs in mind.
