Job Description

Your Role: 

Reporting to Invesco’s Chief Talent Officer, the Head of Global Learning & Leadership Development will not only provide strategic direction and management of the learning center of excellence but will also spearhead the creation and implementation of industry-leading development programs and initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader who can think outside the box and challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement and innovation. 

As an integral member of Invesco’s Talent team, the Global Head of Learning and Leadership Development will work with leaders across the firm to assess the needs of the organization and design and implement high-impact learning strategies to enhance the capabilities of individuals, teams, and leaders. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Building and owning a learning and leadership development function that oversees skill building for all levels of the firm. 
  • Ensuring the execution of our new Leadership Framework, which encompasses the behaviors we expect at all levels: Lead the Enterprise, Lead Others, and Lead Self. 
  • Identifying learning priorities in collaboration with Human Resources and lines of business. 
  • Developing and executing learning solutions that align with Invesco’s strategic goals. 
  • Measuring and analyzing the impact of learning investments to ensure effectiveness and ROI. 
  • Leading the adoption of emerging technologies and innovative methodologies to enhance learning experiences. 
  • Cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development across the firm. 

The experience you bring:

The successful candidate has a successful track record operating in a highly dynamic environment. This role requires strong people and process management skills, with the ability to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities.

  • Experience leading people by fostering a positive work environment, effectively managing team dynamics and ensuring clear communication and collaboration 
  • A deep understanding of and experience applying adult learning principles. 
  • Experience across multiple learning channels (e.g., classroom, asynchronous, technology-enabled). 
  • Experience designing and developing learning experiences using industry-standard authoring tools. 
  • A strong understanding of emerging AI trends related to learning. 
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging learning analytics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and to identify trends. 
  • Experience in instructional design principals, with demonstrated success in developing highly interactive and experiential learning and leadership development programs across a range of competency areas and role levels. 
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage details while maintaining a big-picture view. 
  • Strong critical thinker with proven ability to think and act strategically. 
  • Strong business acumen; proactively evaluates approaches and impacts through both a learning and business lens. 
  • Outstanding communication skills, including proven ability to negotiate, influence others, and lead change. 
  • Organizationally agile with ability to pivot approach in response to evolving business needs, firm priorities, and development opportunities. 
  • Effective collaborator who builds strong relationships and effectively gains buy-in across the firm. 
  • A high level of emotional intelligence as demonstrated by the ability to build trust and rapport, show empathy, read others, and listen well. 
  • Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and feedback-driven improvement for self, team, and the firm. 
  • Strong experience in managing budgets by developing, monitoring and adjusting financial plans to ensure efficient allocation of resources, cost control and alignment with organizational goals 
  • Experience overseeing vendor relationships with an understanding of contracts, service agreements and partner management to optimize service delivery and cost efficiency
