Growth & Development Specialist – Learning and Development

Location: Remote work available to qualified candidates in the US. Ideally, candidates will be located in the Eastern or Central Time zone.

The Growth & Development Specialist supports Bentley’s internal learning and development efforts by leading growth and development programs and creating comprehensive, high-quality content that aligns with our organizational priorities, values, and actions.

As a Growth and Development Specialist reporting to the Manager, Growth & Development within Colleague Success (HR), this role is pivotal in researching, developing, and curating content aimed at creating impactful learning experiences for colleagues. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify learning gaps, design compelling content, and oversee the seamless implementation of Growth & Development initiatives. By closely collaborating with subject matter experts and embedding company-specific insights, the Specialist ensures that all learning materials are not only accurate and engaging but also align with Bentley’s values, fostering both professional development and company-wide success.

Your Day To Day

  • Develop in-depth, engaging, and relevant content across various topics aligned with the company’s learning initiatives, including written materials, curriculum design, and scenario-based learning experiences.
  • Design and execute learning programs aimed at enhancing skills, competencies, and leadership capabilities across the organization, tailoring solutions for both individual contributors and leaders.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure learning materials align with broader company initiatives and learning priorities.
  • Ensure all learning content reflects the company’s culture, purpose, mission, values, and organizational context, making learning experiences more relatable and impactful for colleagues.
  • Support the creation of learning pathways for onboarding programs, manager and leadership development, and other company-wide Growth & Development initiatives.
  • Adapt learning content to suit a global audience, incorporating inclusivity, cultural differences, and language needs to ensure relevance for diverse learner groups.
  • Regularly partner with subject matter experts to extract key insights, validate critical information, and integrate expertise into learning materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate interviews or focus groups with subject matter experts to gather insights and transform them into actionable learning content.
  • Facilitate engagement growth & development content using various learning modalities.
  • Organize content into logical, clear formats that instructional designers can leverage to create engaging and immersive learning experiences.
  • Review, edit, and ensure all content aligns with organizational standards, providing consistency and relevance across learning platforms.
  • Integrate company-specific examples, terminology, and real-world scenarios to enhance the relatability and application of learning content.
  • Manage content development timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule while meeting Bentley’s quality and performance goals.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a global company in a Learning and Development capacity having ownership of program/curriculum and content development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, or another related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing development programs.
  • Proven experience in content/curriculum development, writing, or a similar role.
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information from various resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to shift between collaboration and independent work, seek feedback from multiple stakeholders, and make course corrections as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance time accordingly.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other company colleagues by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel, though travel may be optional, up to 10% of the year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strongly prefer L&D experience in a technology company.
  • Strongly prefer L&D experience in a public company.
  • Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Canva, and Vyond).
  • Familiarity with learning platforms such as Degreed, Workday Learning, SuccessFactors Learning, LinkedIn Learning, etc.
