Job Summary:

The Learning & Leadership Development Manager is responsible for managing and evaluating the success of OneCooper New and Emerging Leadership Development initiatives and programs and will partner on front line supervisor training and support the OneCooper Experienced Leaders Program. This individual will also play a key role in supporting other global learning initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives, including manager onboarding, upskilling, and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and facilitates best in class leadership development experiences for emerging, new, and experienced leaders, people managers globally and across the enterprise. Regularly evaluates effectiveness of new and existing learning and leadership development experiences with the goal of implementing improvements based on learner and business feedback.
  • Plays an active role in the establishment and governance of the TMOE’s learning processes, materials, and experiences.
  • Partners with senior leaders, people managers, HRBPs to gather and understand high priority learning needs and demand signals; Proposes recommended actions/deliverables to the Director of Learning & Leadership Development for consideration.
  • Works independently to effectively design, develop, and deliver scalable and adaptable upskilling and reskilling opportunities for Cooper’s growing and global workforce; Leverages various delivery channels, including but not limited to, live instructor-led trainings, VILTs, workshops, on the job training, and ODEs.
  • Uses a strengths-based approach to coaching and mentoring learners to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities within their role.
  • Establishes and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, consultants, and executive coaches to support leadership development initiatives.
  • Stays abreast of emerging trends, industry best practices, and innovative approaches to learning and leadership development.

Travel:

Approximately 20% (10 weeks per year) of travel is expected in this role or as required by the business. We will provide advance notice to help manage any life commitments.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years in corporate leadership development roles for medium to large, global, matrixed organizations. Strong understanding of leadership / learning theories, models, and best practices. Knowledge of how to develop and facilitate high performing teams, onboard new leaders. Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating L&D initiatives. Use of analytics and metrics to assess ROI and business impact of L&D initiatives. Experience of partnering with global vendors to design and deliver impactful learning, leadership development. Knowledge of leveraging and embedding learning content providers such as LinkedIn Learning. Ideally 3+ years in a people manager role within the Learning & Development function. Familiar with global manufacturing, packaging, and/or distribution centers preferred. Preferred accreditation in assessment and development tools such as DISC, CliftonStrengths. Ideally accredited in coaching, 360 assessments and feedback. Experience of using a global learning management system and digital enablement tools to create high impact, interactive experiences Impact/ Teamwork / Self Aware
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, stakeholder management. Proficient in reading, writing, and facilitating in English. Ideally Spanish. Must have significant experience in facilitating high impact learning and development initiatives. Proven expertise in facilitating L&D solutions in person and virtually. Proven ability to influence and build relationships with HR business partners, people managers and senior leaders.
  • Competent in leading and collaborating with cross-functional project teams, Planning / Results
    • Excellent program, project and vendor management experience. Proven track record in delivering results and business impact within the L&D function. Understanding of change management principles and how to apply to L&D projects and initiatives. Ability to assess business needs, identify training and capability gaps and create high impact business solutions. Experience driving a clear vision for leadership programs globally and within a high growth, matrixed organization.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid schedule applies. 3 days based in either Victor, NY, Trumbull, CT, or San Ramon, CA office and 2 days based at home or other remote location.
  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer reading data, creating training documents, etc.
  • Regular communication via email, phone, virtual meeting tools and in-person meetings with key stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Leadership Management, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $98,699.00 and $131,599.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
