Position: E-Learning Platforms Manager

Reports To: CIO

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This vital role manages and optimizes the LMS, leading the training team to deliver excellence. Collaborating with enterprise-wide stakeholders across the business functions, you’ll design and implement cutting-edge e-learning initiatives while providing essential technical support and training. Enhance our digital learning capabilities and drive training effectiveness in this key position

  • LMS Management and Administration: Oversee LMS operations, Systems Maintenance and Vendor Management
  • Manage the training team (Instructional designer/Learning experience designer, Instructional Technologist, consultants, Vendors, etc.)
  • Content Development, Course Integration, and Quality Assurance
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and team members in all phases of the courseware development cycle to analyze and determine learning needs and the best modality to meet desired outcomes.
  • Create survey and assessment instruments; analyze data from surveys and assessments and incorporate feedback or determine edits needed. Provide content QA, technical writing, and grammar/punctuation reviews.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge and skill retention and transfer.
  • Perform graphic design, user interface design, and design production graphics for training courseware.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Monitor LMS usage to determine the effectiveness of e-learning strategies and generate reports for relevant metrics.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Conduct needs assessment to determine e-learning needs of the organization and implement e-learning strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with rest of the business functions, collecting feedback, formulating policies and procedures related to the LMS
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure LMS platforms comply with data protection regulations and Organizational security policies
  • User Support & Training

Experience

Background And Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working on LMS Platforms (Eg: Tovuti, etc)
  • 5 years of experience managing LMS Platforms
  • Proven experience with instructional design and course development
  • Proven experience with E-learning development tools and technologies

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in E-learning authoring and development tools (Eg: Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Microsoft’s Office Suite, and Adobe’s Creative Suite)
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles
  • Experience using ADDIE, SAM, or Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of related web development technologies.
  • Experience creating storyboards and translating them into engaging web-based learning modules.
  • Technical knowledge of SCORM and training standards (i.e. aggregate Shareable Content Objects (SCOs) to create SCORM compliant content packages) for delivery on the LMS.

  • Ability to train and support end-users on LMS functionalities
  • Experience in a corporate training environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Instructional design, or a related field.
