Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to end school shootings,
and create a culture change that prevents violence and other harmful acts that hurt children. Through its life-saving evidence-informed Know the Signs prevention programs, SHP educates and empowers youth and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others. SHP is a moderate, bipartisan organization that supports sensible policy solutions that address the human side of gun violence and make schools safer.
SHP is led by several family members whose loved ones were killed in the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

Position Summary
The Director of Online Content will support the development of the strategy for the SHP Learning Management System experience. The person in this position has the responsibility to direct and manage a robust online learning portfolio for SHP partners and the broader school business community, with the development and maintenance of curriculum and content for a clear and simple online experience. In addition, the person in this position supports the development of the strategic vision for our Program Development team broadly, which includes collaboration with other curriculum and content developers. This person will oversee our Learning Management System (LMS), support the development of online structures and functionality, and ensure exceptional learner experiences in a virtual setting. This person will manage day-to-day LMS operations to support onboarding and continuous professional development for school business practitioners.

Benefits and Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $93,000-$103,000. (SHP follows a strict internal rubric to help guide salary placement and ensure equitable pay amongst new hires and current staff. New hires should expect to be brought on at the start of the range, except in extenuating circumstances.)

Our organization operates within a distributed workforce, allowing for location flexibility across the country for most positions. We provide remote office support for all staff, which includes a laptop, home office reimbursement, monthly wifi reimbursement up to $40, and monthly cell phone reimbursement up to $50.
