Digital Training Enablement and Strategy Lead

We are looking for an experienced Digital Training and Enablement Lead to join our team and take ownership of the design, delivery, and evaluation of training strategies and programs for FieldView, New Business Models, and other Bayer digital offerings. This role is integral to ensuring that our teams, partners, and customers can maximize the value of our digital platforms and solutions through effective learning experiences. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive training programs that not only build skills but also drive adoption and engagement across a variety of stakeholders, including internal teams, field staff, and external customers.

As the lead, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand evolving business needs and translate them into innovative digital training solutions. Your work will directly impact how well users can leverage our digital tools to drive business performance and digital transformation.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role are:

Training Strategy & Roadmap Development:

  • Act as a thought leader in the learning and enablement space, sharing best practices and staying current with trends in digital learning and technology adoption.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for all training and enablement needs across the digital platforms, ensuring alignment with broader business and digital transformation goals.
  • Lead a small team or work closely with contractors to support the development and execution of digital training initiatives.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Champion the value of digital transformation across the organization and ensure that training programs are embedded within the broader organizational change strategy.
  • Develop user enablement resources (e.g., self-service portals, knowledge bases, FAQs) to ensure continuous learning and reduce friction during the adoption phase.
  • Support digital adoption through effective change management strategies, helping users transition to new ways of working with FieldView and other digital solutions.

Change Management & Enablement:

  • Conduct post-training follow-ups and ensure learners have access to ongoing support and resources to reinforce their learning.
  • Use data and analytics to assess the impact of training programs, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on content and delivery techniques.
  • Develop and implement methods for evaluating training effectiveness, including learner engagement, knowledge retention, and business outcomes.

Training Effectiveness Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Engage with end users to gather feedback on training content, delivery methods, and user adoption, and refine training programs based on insights.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure training materials are up-to-date with the latest product features, updates, and functionalities.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., product managers, business units, HR, customer success teams) to understand the goals and challenges associated with digital offerings like FieldView and New Business Models.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement:

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to trainers, ensuring smooth adoption and mastery of the digital solutions.
  • Customize training delivery based on the complexity of the product and the expertise level of the audience, ensuring learners gain the knowledge and skills needed to apply new tools in real-world scenarios.
  • Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and webinars for different stakeholder groups.

Training Delivery & Facilitation:

  • Leverage a variety of content creation tools and technologies (e.g., LMS, Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia) to deliver scalable and impactful learning experiences.
  • Tailor training content for diverse audiences, ensuring it is clear, engaging, and aligned with learner needs.
  • Develop innovative, high-quality training materials, including digital courses, eLearning modules, videos, webinars, manuals, and interactive guides.

Instructional Design & Content Creation:

  • Continuously evaluate and adapt the training strategy to reflect product updates, market changes, and emerging industry trends.
  • Create a comprehensive training roadmap, ensuring it addresses the needs of various user groups (e.g., field teams, sales, operations, partners, customers).
  • Design and implement a cohesive training strategy for FieldView, New Business Models, and other Bayer digital tools, aligning training initiatives with both short- and long-term business goals.

Who You Are

Bayer seeks a candidate who possesses the following:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital learning, instructional design, and enablement, with a focus on enterprise software, digital tools, or technology solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Instructional Design (e.g., CPTD, ATD) or Learning & Development are a plus.
  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and delivering digital training programs for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with digital learning tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), content authoring software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate), video editing tools (e.g., Camtasia), and virtual training platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and improve training program effectiveness using data.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the agriculture, life sciences, or technology industries is a plus, as is familiarity with digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to design scalable training programs that drive business value.
  • Proactive, results-driven with excellent project management skills and an ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A passion for digital transformation and learning, with a keen interest in helping organizations successfully adopt innovative tools.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $92 to $139k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
