Curriculum Manager, 3-5 Math Customizations

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of curriculum developers, who are responsible for developing print and digital curriculum.
  • Review and verify the mathematical correctness and pedagogical progression of content.
  • Review and ensure that content is concise and the wording and amount of text is age appropriate.
  • Review and ensure that content adheres to authoring guidelines and product vision.
  • Ensure that deliverables are on time and team documentation is kept up to date (TOC, glossary, etc.)
  • Provide training and feedback to team members.
  • Meet weekly with the curriculum developers they oversee to balance/prioritize workload and ensure pedagogical consistency/coherence. 
  • Collaborate with Editorial/Authoring Guidelines team members to ensure consistency in phrasing and word choice across units and grade spans, as appropriate for each grade. 
  • Collaborate regularly with Team Leads on the Customizations team of surrounding grade levels to ensure consistency/coherence between grade spans.
  • Work effectively across a cross-functional team with diverse priorities and focus, e.g., a cross-functional team that includes Curriculum, Design, Editorial/Authoring Guidelines, Project Management, and Product Management.

Basic Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of curriculum development experience in elementary mathematics or a related field
  • Familiarity with mathematical curricula, standards, and pedagogical trends for elementary school
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Comfort using Google Docs and Suggesting changes (i.e., “track changes”)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in mathematics and education.

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross annualized salary range for this role is $95,000 – $105,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
