As Corporate Instructional Designer, you will lead the design, development and deployment of training activities that facilitate improved job performance and increased capabilities of frontline fundraisers on behalf of a diverse fundraising division. Partner with division and department leadership and subject matter experts to understand business priorities and learning gaps. Responsible for some or all the following: curriculum design and development, facilitation of group classes, development of on-line training resources, and/or one-on-one coaching. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
  • Annual Training and Development Strategy
    • Collaborate with division and department leaders to assess annual business priorities and knowledge and/or skill gaps for multiple fundraising teams within a division.
    • Based on the needs of the business, proactively design, develop and deploy a comprehensive learning and development strategy that drives the culture forward and positively influences fundraising outcomes.
    • Lead the development and sequencing of content that supports learning needs in partnership with subject matter experts.
    • Lead the design, development, and delivery of virtual and in-person training and learning resources.
    • Ensure the methods used are appropriate for a self-paced, time-constrained team of both office-based and remote fundraisers.
    • Create annual training reports which are submitted to respective departments.
  • Ongoing Skills Training
    • Provide training related to each step in the moves management cycle (initial donor visits, discovery, cultivation, leveraging events & vision trips, making the ask, responding to “no”, and effective gift acknowledgement).
    • Work collaboratively with regional managers to assess and implement skill gap assessments and on-going customized coaching.
    • Partner with appropriate leadership or work directly with underperforming advisors to address performance gaps and increase year-over-year fundraising results.
    • Provide customized orientation training to equip fundraisers for success.
    • Lead ongoing engagement and retention activities.
  • May lead one international Vision Trip annually.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

You Bring

Degree in instructional design or related field or equivalent work experience (eight years). Previous work experience must include a minimum of 5 years in the following areas: corporate instructional design and development, using eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Rise or Storyline 360, and training facilitation.

Salary Range & Benefits 

The full range for this position is $75,706 – $119,412 annually. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $80,000 – $98,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. World Vision employees see our Salary Administration Guidelines and My Life My Benefits pages on our organization intranet known as The Vine.
