Stanford’s Graduate School of Business has built a global reputation based on its immersive and innovative management programs. We provide students a transformative leadership experience, pushing the boundaries of knowledge with faculty research, and offering a portfolio of entrepreneurial and non-degree programs that deliver global impact like no other. We are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in service of our mission of developing innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change lives, change organizations, and change the world. We invite you to be part of this mission.
The Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) team within the Teaching and Learning Hub (TLH) at the Graduate School of Business (GSB) provides learning design and instructional technology expertise to support faculty in their teaching and enhance the student learning experience at the GSB. The LDT team contributes critically to innovations in teaching and learning, incubating and piloting new teaching technologies, techniques, and programs.
We are looking for an Associate Director of Learning Experience Design (LXD) to lead a creative and talented team of learning experience designers. The team partners with faculty to shape the future of teaching and learning at the GSB, bringing to life MBA, MSx, and Executive Education course content through excellence in design. In addition to developing student-facing content in collaboration with other groups within TLH, the LXD team develops and delivers faculty-facing content and engagements, such as pedagogy workshops, web resources, and one-on-one consultations.
As a manager, you will lead by example, creating a positive working environment for the team and a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth. You are able to prioritize and allocate staff time and team resources appropriately to variable demand as well as evolving types of work. You drive towards the needs of the students and faculty while providing clarity and focus for your team.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in learning design, exceptional interpersonal skills, and be excited to collaborate with other teams within TLH and across the GSB in creating outstanding student learning experiences and helping faculty excel in the classroom.
Please Note: This position requires regular, on-site work (a minimum of two days per week) at the Stanford GSB campus, but a full-time on-campus presence is not required for this role.
