Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Learning and Development (L&D) is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic L&D initiatives across the organization, with a focus on innovative, inclusive, and high-impact solutions. This executive position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement our enterprise-wide L&D strategy that supports organizational growth, fosters talent development, and drives transformation through people-focused learning initiatives. 

You will collaborate with our senior leadership to align learning and development programs with our organizational goals, ensuring the workforce has the skills and capabilities to thrive in an evolving and dynamic environment. You will lead a high-performing team of L&D professionals, providing vision, while integrating technology, data insights, and modern adult learning principles into every aspect of the L&D function. You will report to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive guide enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives, aligned with organizational goals and objectives. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize learning and development needs, and design solutions to address them. 
  • Manage and lead a team of learning professionals, providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective program delivery. 
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide learning platforms, tools, and technologies. 
  • Foster partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive innovation and best practices in learning and development.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience working in learning and development using a wide variety of advanced practices 
  • 6+ years of experience leading the development of L&D strategic plans and bringing those plans through to implementation 
  • Expert knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and the application of various learning modalities 
  • 5+ years formal supervision of employees including workforce planning, recruiting, professional development, performance management, and succession planning 
  • Expert level proficiency in strategies and applicable use cases for L&D tech 
  • Previous experience or interest in working in a decentralized, complex environment with numerous stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively through transformational change
