Job Purpose:
The Assistant Director of the Center for Excellence (CETLA) is responsible for supporting the Director in planning, designing, and delivery of training that supports teaching and learning activities, with specific responsibility for Digital Learning and Special Initiatives. This position provides visionary, strategic, and operational leadership within CETLA, improving the facilitation of teaching and student-centered learning across all university colleges and schools.
Supervisory Authority:
This position reports to the Director of CETLA. The Assistant Director will serve on university committees as assigned by the Director and will represent CETLA in the Director’s absence. This position may also supervise CETLA’s Teaching and Learning Specialist and Instructional Support Specialist.
Nature And Scope:
This position will work with all colleges and schools across the university to support teaching and learning initiatives, with particular focus on digital learning and special initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities:
The Assistant Director will support CETLA’s mission of promoting teaching excellence and enhancing student learning experiences through digital learning initiatives and special projects.
