Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Initiates and manages learning and development projects that include virtual and in-person trainings, conferences, and asynchronous courses
  • Identifies training, instructional, and material needs
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders, facilitators, subject matter experts, and vendors
  • Assists in developing project goals and objectives
  • Develops, manages, and reports on project budgets
  • Prepares and delivers reports pertaining to Learning and Development efforts
  • Plans, initiates, monitors and evaluates training courses and programs utilizing interactive video, web-based, classroom and video mediums.
  • Coordinates development of instructional and support materials to meet training objectives.
  • Interfaces with staff, University departments, outside organizations and state agency customers.
  • Performs needs assessments and assists in developing project goals, objectives and direction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

The Learning Consultant/Adult Learning Coordinator builds trust with stakeholders, drives execution, focuses on the customer, collaborates effectively with others, solves problems creatively, demonstrates integrity, and proactively establishes and maintains effective work processes.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, AND:

  • 24 months of experience related to the essential duties.

Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 72 months of experience.

Skills

  • Understands adult learning principles
  • Works effectively with senior and executive management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with establishing, implementing, and improving project reporting processes
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards, requirements, and practices especially those relating to web-based video
  • Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Experience with all types of learning delivery modalities to include classroom, online courses, webinars, videos, etc.
  • Communicates effectively

Advertised Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions.
  • Standard Office Environment.
  • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.

Departmental Preferences

  • Master’s degree in education, Business Management, or related field.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in project and budget management.
