eLearning & Technology Instructional Design

Program Overview

The online Master of Arts in Instructional Technology program is 100% online, top-ranked and designed to teach you to engage learners in corporate, government, health care and educational environments. Students can explore the foundations of instructional design and technology, game-based learning, mobile learning, project management, third-party tools (Articulate 360 Rise and Storyline) and other current trends. We offer in-state tuition rates for all, and grants and scholarships are available to help you achieve your educational goals.

Choose Your Course Path

Our program is designed with busy working adults in mind. Students complete 30 credit hours, including five core courses and the opportunity to customize your learning from among 10 electives. The courses are offered on a semester basis (fall, spring, and summer), and our 100% online format enables you to set your own pace; students typically complete the program in just 18 months. Our faculty members are instructional technology and design experts, bringing real-world experience and up-to-date knowledge to the classroom.

The curriculum is designed to equip you with the skills needed to advance your career in instructional design, instructional technology, learning and development, training, e-learning and educational technology. Graduation requirements include the completion of a comprehensive portfolio showcasing projects completed throughout the MA in Instructional Technology program.

All majors are welcome to apply. Please note that this program does not lead to certification or licensure in P-12 education.

As part of the curriculum electives, you’ll have the opportunity to gain practical experience through an internship. Apply what you’ve learned in real-world settings with organizations such as Tesla, Cracker Barrel, Cradlepoint and many others.
