Instructional Technologist and Designer for Distance Education, As a member of the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Technology, my role is to build and facilitate professional development for instructors teaching online. This includes maintaining and administering our 7-week online preparatory course that instructs faculty on research-supported best practices for teaching in the online environment. I also conduct observations of faculty teaching practices and assess the quality of their online courses.
