Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Instructional Designer (Remote) which is a remote position – preferred locations for this remote role: Orlando, Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Chicago, or New York

This position will be a direct report to the ITS Operations Training Manager with direct communications with staff throughout the nation. The routine responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Video training production including directing, filming, and content development
    • Technical development of initial and recurrent training programs related to Control Room Operations and field services
    • Serves as a resource to operations management personnel when it comes to implementation of a skill set driven plan including design, training materials, and audits to identify areas of improvement
    • Administrative management of staff training files, courses, certifications, and initial and recurrent training
    • Preparation and delivery of reports on training status to mid and upper level management
    • Design and implementation of an operations and maintenance employee performance auditing program
    • Coordination with leadership and training support staff
    • Training facilitation to include materials development, curriculum design, and delivery
    • Other ad-hoc employee proficiency initiatives as assigned by the Instructional Designer and/or Training Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Willing to work in a 24/7/365 operation
    • Motor Vehicle Check will be required

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Technical writing skills to include grammar editing and content flow
    • Experience in training program development, traffic operations and/or administrative communications
    • Competent in MS Office products
    • Innovative approach to training program design and delivery
    • Public speaking and presentation skills
    • Time management experience
    • Flexible schedule (training relates to a 24/7/365 operation)
