American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business. To maintain this success, the organization must accelerate sales and drive profitable charge volume growth. The Global Sales Enablement, Pricing & Transformation (SPT) team within GCS is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. The Trainer position within SPT offers you the opportunity to be part of this multifaceted organization and help GCS navigate towards growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for using data, performance insights, and internal customer feedback to identify and address training needs across the sales and client management lifecycles. The Trainer will support and evolve the training strategy to meet internal customer training needs and help reinforce trainings, and deliver training. The Trainer will be standout colleague who will deliver on an effective training plan and the professional development of Colleagues across all segments of US Small and Medium Enterprises (US SME).

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in person and virtual training sessions
  • Support measurement of the learning journey for US Small and Medium Enterprises (US SME) Colleagues to drive outstanding performance of both front-line teams (new hires and tenured) and leaders
  • Strategize and align with director and manager on Continuing Education needs and topics for assigned segment.
  • Help team with processes that will scale to meet the demands of a growing sales organization
  • Analyze how to evolve processes, training materials, topics, and delivery methods
  • Measure effectiveness of the learning experience by using business performance metrics to evolve the training plan over time
  • Manage logistics of trainings both for in person events and virtual instructor led trainings including scheduling, communications, etc.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex topics in a clear and relatable manner
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with consistent track record to effectively collaborate, partner, and coordinate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels 
  • Ability to lead sophisticated projects and remain flexible with changing and tight deadlines
  • Ability to identify learning and performance improvement needs and formulate recommendations  
  • Experience using and implementing new digital capabilities
  • Excellent business sense and results orientation
  • Creative problem solver – not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Hardworking, fun, flexible and demonstrates a willingness to learn!

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales enablement training and/or adult learning/training development and delivery, including effectively leading and facilitating training programs 
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience with SalesForce.com (One.Force) Cornerstone/Navigator (LMS), Microsoft Suite

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
