Overview

Dental Care Alliance, one of the Top 50 growth companies on Florida’s Gulf Coast, is seeking a contract Instructional Designer. The ISD is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining instructional training materials (Instructor-Led and eLearning) including course curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids and other content using established and effective ISD methodology.

As one of the country’s largest dental support organizations, we have more than 400+ affiliated dental practices throughout twenty-four states. Formed in 1991, Dental Care Alliance is a ground-breaking dental support organization created by dentists, and focused on improving the well-being of both patients and dentists.

Responsibilities

  • Assess needs; analyze necessary outcomes and implements appropriate learning and development solutions.
  • Develop and maintain instructional training materials including course curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids and other content using established and effective ISD methodology. Provide recommendations on the most effective delivery modality.
  • Work in partnership with subject matter experts to gather information needed to develop training content.
  • Apply best practices in online instructional design and current theoretical frameworks.
  • Keep training content up-to-date in a timely manner to ensure employees have most current information.
  • Manage pre-and post-learning activities, communications and materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of courses, updates program, and continuously improve the quality of training & development programs.
  • Work Environment:

This job operates remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of key learning design concepts such as outcomes-based curriculum development, and competency-based programs.
  • Proficiency with course development using e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Canva and other multimedia programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Qualifications And Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional System Design, or related fields.
  • At least three years’ experience designing and delivering Instructor Led and online training for adult learners.
