Job Summary:

As a Senior Analyst, Instructional Designer you will be responsible for designing and developing training materials for clinical and non-clinical colleagues. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, eLearning developers, designers, and vendors to create engaging and effective training programs. You will have a deep understanding of adult learning theory, learning objectives, and storyboarding, and experience working with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Captivate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply best practices and knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory, and eLearning design to develop learner-centered, performance-based learning strategies including online modules, videos, job aids, and other learning tools
  • Design content to optimize learning in the context of the job and at the moment of need
  • Design assessments, simulations, interactive learning experiences and measurement strategies to support performance objectives and enhance training effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other business partners to analyze learning needs and design and develop learning strategies from conception to delivery
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning Technologies Administrator to upload, test, and assign learning in the LMS, as well as design and run reports
  • Maximize the usability of the LMS, LinkedIn Learning, and other educational resources by working collaboratively within the Learning and Development
  • Manage assigned projects using project management concepts to meet milestones and project timelines
  • Work with eLearning developers, designers, and vendors to ensure that training programs meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in instructional design and eLearning technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, instructional design or related field or certificate program in instructional design combined with a BS/BA degree
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Design
  • Intermediate skills in using Articulate 360 for eLearning authoring
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft 365
  • Strong working knowledge of adult learning theory, elearning design principles, and microlearning design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with SMEs, trainers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience writing voiceover scripts, job aids, and training guides
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A portfolio of original design/development work is required

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, Canva, Epilogue Opus, Audacity
  • Experience creating scenario-based elearning
  • Working knowledge of Cathy Moore’s Action
  • Mapping
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Experience designing learning experiences for healthcare professionals
