Senior Learning & Talent Development Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Learning and Talent Development Specialist that will join our dynamic, fast paced, growth-oriented team and company. The Senior Learning and Talent Development Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs, courses, and technology for our Team Members, companywide. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated creative thinker who is passionate about Learning and Development, works well with teams and has a strong background in learning and development, adult learning principles and learning management systems.    

Job Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Designs, develops, and executes learning programs, courses, and solutions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; focused on Team Member success and impact.  
  • Facilitates training to talent at all levels within the organization using a variety of instructional methods including face to face facilitation, virtual workshops, asynchronous e-learning, etc.  
  • Collaborates with leaders and key stakeholders across functional areas to understand specific learning and development needs, Helps determine appropriate training delivery methods and creates learning in a variety of formats which may include classroom, virtual, self-guided eLearning, and on-the-job training. 
  • Effectively communicates the Learning and Talent vision with team members, and partners thoughtfully during the design/development process. 
  • Evaluates and iterates existing programs, courses and content for impact and alignment with organizational needs. Identifies synergies and opportunities to provide the most effective learning solutions.  
  • Provides recommendations for learning experiences that increase reach, impact, and future capability requirements. 
  • Serves as the primary administrator for training programs and supports administrative efforts with training related technology systems and programs including the Learning Management System (Workday), assessments, surveys etc.  
  • Serves as a Learning and Development thought partner, proactively researches and identifies opportunities to apply new thinking to improve effectiveness and on the job performance. 
  • Performs other related duties as required.  

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles: Understanding how adults learn, different learning styles, and designing training programs that appeal to all types of learners.  
  • Training design and delivery: Skilled at instructional design principles and techniques, including creating training materials, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs.  
  • Needs analysis: Ability to analyze the training needs of Team Members and develop training programs that meet those needs.  
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on conveying information effectively, providing feedback to immediate team and internal clients, timely follow up and presenting training sessions/programs. 
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically, problem solve and perform in an agile way within a dynamic culture.  
  • Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.  
  • Proficient with learning technologies and authoring tools – Canva, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, MS Teams, and Workday Learning a plus. 
  • Experienced in developing training materials (slide decks, job aids, facilitator guides, etc.).
