We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Learning Technologist – LMS Administrator to join our dynamic team. The Senior Learning Technologist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance the training and learning experience for our organization members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a deep understanding of educational technology, and a passion for creating innovative and effective online learning environments.

We are on a mission to provide farmers and ranchers the skills and tools to regenerate the land to be profitable and environmental stewards. At Noble Research Institute we research, demonstrate, and teach principles and practices of regenerative land stewardship. Our goal is to remove, mitigate or avoid the barriers deterring the lasting use of regenerative management practices in grazing animal production. These barriers consist of:

  • Lack of available, science-based management knowledge.
  • Lack of guides and mentors.
  • Economic uncertainty in adoption and operations as well as ongoing risk.
  • Cultural/societal influences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • LMS Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System, including user access, course setup, and content management. Ensure the LMS is effectively integrated with other education technology tools and systems.
  • Course Design and Development: Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and faculty members to design and develop engaging online courses. Utilize the LMS’s features to create interactive and learner-centered learning experiences.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support to trainers, members, and staff on LMS-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, including user access, course enrollment, and content uploading.
  • Training and Workshops: Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and resources to educate members and staff on effective LMS utilization, best practices in online teaching, and emerging educational technologies.
  • LMS Enhancement and Optimization: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in online learning. Recommend and implement enhancements to the LMS, such as integrations, plugins, and features that improve usability and engagement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize LMS analytics and reporting tools to gather and analyze data on course engagement, user behavior, and learning outcomes. Generate insights to drive continuous improvement in online learning experiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of online courses to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and alignment with instructional objectives. Address any issues promptly and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple projects related to LMS administration, course development, and technology integration. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with faculty, instructional designers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of educational technology initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in LMS administration and educational technology roles.
  • Proficiency in administering and supporting a variety of LMS platforms (e.g., D2L, Cornerstone, etc.).
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with multimedia content creation, HTML/CSS, and learning technology integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in instructional design, online course development, and pedagogical best practices.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for online learning content.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in education and online learning.
