This position exists to create interactive, engaging content and design for courses in the online/hybrid format. This position trains other Instructional Designers to meet the needs and employ learning models of multiple schools and create and design courses for the student needs within the structure of adult learning theory and online delivery format. Using their professional expertise, Sr. Instructional Designers develop courses that address student/learner needs in the following areas and model creation and design for Instructional Designers:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires knowledge of adult educational theory, online course delivery format, assessment tools, student needs, design format, and creativity. This position also requires knowledge of how to teach and model the above mentioned skills set. Additionally, this position requires a knowledge of research skills, organizational skills to manage several projects simultaneously, efficiency measures for course design, collaborative team skills. Also required is computer efficiency in Microsoft Office software, Learning Content Management System application, Adaptive Learning system, maintaining tracker software, and strong verbal and written communication skills. This position will need to solve issues quickly, assess training needs and learn new technologies. This position must collaborate with and lead academic teams in development. This position also requires a constant learning of new material, software, and processes.
