About the Role: 

The DreamBox Proposal writer is responsible for writing winning proposals in the competitive bid process for K-12 education technology solutions. In this highly cross-functional role, the Proposal Writer is responsible for overseeing the processes and response strategy to ensure we submit winning proposals. This role requires a blend of strategic writing and attention to detail to ensure submissions align with RFP requirements and timelines, while also constructing a narrative that captures DreamBox’s differentiators and strengths aligned the needs of the district. You will also drive the Knowledge Library and work with Product Marketing to ensure there is enough compelling content for our dual discipline solutions. You just love deadlines and are skilled at managing multiple RFPs and timelines at one time. The candidate should have education technology proposal management and writing experience and have at least 3 years of bid and proposal writing experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate and produce proposals and responses to customer requests (RFI, RFQ, ITT, RFP, and others)
  • Execute proposal response plans while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales/Account Teams, Services Teams, Product and Curriculum Teams, Legal, Security, Compliance, etc.).
  • Develop win themes, articulating our differentiation, innovative response strategies and ensure those elements are adequately reflected in finished proposals.
  • Hold kick-off discussions/meetings for critical proposal sections to discuss overall messaging, flow, and common themes, and conduct working sessions and interviews with SMEs to gather inputs.
  • Be responsible for driving the proposal process and ensuring critical milestones and all deadlines are met, as well as coordinating reviews with key stakeholders providing final quality assurance and adherence to corporate and legal compliance.
  • You’ll be the project and proposal manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of proposals submitted as well as drafts, approvals, and other supporting documents
  • Assist in maintaining our knowledge library to include the most timely, consistent, and currently relevant market, product, and services information
  • Prioritize RFPs and balance high workloads with short deadlines and fast turnaround times.
  • Proactively synthesize product and service requirements and provide to internal sales and product teams for continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years managing and writing proposals in the education space required 
  • Knowledge of the K-12 supplemental procurement process, and acquisition guidelines are a plus
  • A proven track record of managing large and complex proposals for K-12
  • Project leadership and project management capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of office productivity and other computer-based or online website proposal software, experience with RFP360/RFPIO preferred 
  • The ability to comprehend, communicate, and cohesively orchestrate complex business, technical and legal requirements, information, and materials
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to build rapport and relationships, and the ability to collaborate with a broad and diverse population of internal and external team members
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects with overlapping or competing timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and continuously deliver in a constantly changing, fast-paced, and team-oriented sales environment
  • Proven critical thinking and practical decision-making abilities
  • Prior Management experience is preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the US 

Location: Open to candidates in the US 

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected base salary range for this position is $75,980 – $106,350USD annually based on several factors, including experience and geography. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus or sales commission bonus, depending on the role, and benefits that are designed to support you & your family. If you are hired at DreamBox Learning, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on considerations such as geographic location, skills, responsibilities of the role, education, and/or relevant experience.  In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the compensation of our current team members as a part of evaluating and extending any final offer.
