The Manager, Learning and Development is responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the Instructional Design team. The Manager, Learning and Development is responsible for the successful onboarding and training of all new Instructional Designers as well as their overall growth and development. This role will establish close relationships to business stakeholders to ensure training and development content delivers colleagues that can perform to expected key metrics and behaviors. The Manager, Learning and Development will ensure that all content and programs are developed around the common naviHealth Purpose and Values.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day activities of the Instructional
  • Design colleagues. Including daily review of resources, PTO approvals to ensure the needs of the business are met
  • Actively participate in the development of key success metrics for Learning and Development.
  • Provide oversight of the day to day to ensure metrics are met and provide report out to leadership
  • Utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills to develop and implement effective and efficient learning solutions
  • Use multimedia technology and authoring tools to create high-level virtual instructor-lead and eLearning training programs
  • Confirm consistency of training materials relating to company styles, standards, and development tools.
  • Ensure all training and reference materials are consistent, accurate, up to date, and based on adult learning methodologies
  • Establish strong relationships with various stakeholders across the business. Participating in key metrics review, root cause analysis, process improvement and collaboration to ensure alignment
  • Facilitate bi-weekly (or more frequent) team meetings to ensure consistency of process application, project work and operations
  • Cultivate a strong internal culture designed around naviHealth Purpose and Values with collaboration, feedback, motivation, and accountability.
  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new Instructional Designers
  • Actively participate in the Performance Review Process ensuring appropriate coaching and feedback is provided throughout the year and at end of year conversations
  • Facilitate bi-weekly (or more frequent) 1:1 meetings with assigned colleagues, provide feedback, and promote colleague development
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, accreditation organizations, and client requests
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to daily management and ensure consistent production across direct reports
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Proven intermediate to advanced knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Proven advanced knowledge of design authoring tools such as Articulate, Vyond, WellSaid Labs, Camtasia, etc.
  • Experience with LMS and/or LXP platforms
  • Proven intermediate to advanced abilities with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience managing remotely based teams
  • Experience working with geriatric populations
  • Experience in the healthcare field
