Summary:

The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for developing and designing engaging learning activities and course content from information provided by subject matter experts. You will develop instructional material, design courses, and play an integral role in the implementation, application, and revision of courses. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of training creation methods including video editing skills, simulation building, and virtual classroom training design.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Consult with subject matter experts to determine efficiencies and requirements for the development and design of eLearning courses.
  • Create instructional material including courses, facilitator guides, and consumables using a variety of software including Articulate Storyline and Rise, Vyond, Photoshop, Canva, and Camtasia.
  • Assist in video production, including cleaning video and audio and creating overlays.
  • Proofread, test, and edit courses.
  • Review course modules, and evaluate the design from a learner’s perspective.
  • Edit with attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field
  •  Knowledge of instructional design principles and theories to maximize learning
  •  Strong communication skills
  •  Ability to work remotely, with a team, and independently on projects
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge and/or experience with a variety of Instructional Design authoring tools and platforms (i.e., Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate360, Audacity, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Passion for helping people learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Adobe design suite, and Zoom
  • Video editing or production experience or the willingness and eagerness to learn the above programs

Normal Working Hours and Conditions:

Core business hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on company operations.  

Physical Requirements:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting, including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information, and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds.  The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
