The Role

We’re looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Learning & Development team!

Bitly is seeking a highly organized and creative Specialist, Learning & Development. As a member of the People team, the Learning & Development Specialist will partner with L&D manager to ensure the seamless execution of development programming and keep Bitly an amazing place to work for all. This role is critical in maximizing usage of professional development and compliance resources through Learning Management System (LMS) administration. The Learning & Development Specialist will manage and track the progress of programs, ensuring the original learning objectives and goals are achieved, identifying program challenges and conflicts, and partnering with L&D manager to assess impact of development programming.The Learning & Development Specialist can expect to partner cross functionally with talent acquisition, HR operations, Diversity Equity & Inclusion team, and vendor providing live facilitation.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute development programs with a global mindset
  • Ensure that all training programs adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards including annual compliance training and tracking
  • Support new hire onboarding in partnership with HR Operations, ensuring all new employees understand Bitly’s company values, teams & product. Partner with HR Operations to review current global orientation content and provide continuous improvement
  • Provide Learning Management System updates and ensure continued usage of asynchronous learning resources
  • Support execution of select program management including scheduling, communication, participant engagement, and partners with L&D manager on evaluation
  • Partner with L&D Manager for ongoing vendor management
  • Work closely with department managers and subject matter experts to ensure that training programs align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Support content creation, facilitation, cross functional projects as needed

Who You Are

  • Experience managing logistics of large, complex learning programs including strong organization, creation of internal marketing collateral, and communication 
  • Experience with Learning Management System administration, Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite including Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slide
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, multiple projects environment
  • Ability to adapt to the learning needs of diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation models
  • Certification in training and development (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance – CPLP) or advanced degree may be a plus

This position is salaried and classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which means the you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond the standard 40-hour workweek.

The annual cash compensation range for this position is below.  Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed.

Pay Range

$63,200—$94,800 USD
