Learning Consultant

As a Learning Consultant you’ll work on the development and deployment of learning programs and solutions with one of our clients.

Responsible for the day-to-day support of the client relationship with business stakeholders to effectively execute learning and performance tactical plans and deliver learning solutions to meet their needs.

About the role

On a day to day basis you’ll:

  • Build, maintain and grow trusted relationships with business stakeholders to understand relevant business issues
  • Contribute to interactions with business stakeholders that identify business requirements to ensure that requirements are suitably aligned to business needs
  • Support relationships at all levels within the business and HR to be capable of supporting the learning needs analysis, design and development of Learning Solutions with key stakeholders and SMEs
  • Support the coordination and transition from needs identification to implementation of design and/or delivery in collaboration with other areas of the Supplier and business
  • Use appropriate challenge to test business requirements to ensure that requirements are suitably aligned to the learning function
  • When required, advise the business on the most appropriate learning interventions and methodologies, together with advice on how these can be best procured
  • Support the coordination and transition from needs identification to implementation of design and/or delivery in collaboration with other areas of the Supplier and business.
  • Following contracting, manage the day-to-day relationship between client, internal working teams, and vendors and escalate any issues
  • Ensure that learning requests are responded to within appropriate timelines and are fully completed to agreed contracting
  • Monitor service provision and evaluation scores for assigned programmes
  • Ensure that all required reporting is delivered accurately, on time and that the service delivers to any service level agreement requirements in place
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that appropriate quality assurance processes are in place, and that the delivered learning achieves the expected business objectives
  • Provide support to evaluate, pilot and deploy solutions for effectiveness

What we need

With excellent English Language skills (both verbal and written), you’ll have proven experience in the field of learning.

Additionally we’ll require:

  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
  • A professional qualification / degree or equivalent.
  • A broad knowledge of learning interventions.
  • Proven experience of working in the Performance Improvement field.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Well rounded business experience, with excellent business and financial acumen.
  • Proven experience in the learning field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General administration and good IT skills in particular MS Project

Ideally you’ll also have:

  • Working knowledge of Organisational Development interventions
    An understanding of organisational dynamics
  • Previous experience of project management methodologies such as critical path, critical chain and agile management
  • Facilitation skills
  • Experience in the design of informal and formal blended learning solutions to include e-learning, VILT, ILT and Modern Learner
  • Multi-cultural experience
  • Labour market knowledge
  • Experience of writing proposals
