Who are you?

You are a talented, creative and enthusiastic L&D professional who is seeking to be part of a dedicated, growing People team focused on the exceptional development, and growth of our colleagues. As Manager for L&D for Virgin Pulse, you will be an integral part of the People Team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Management and DEI.  In this individual contributor role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of learning experiences that align with Virgin Pulse’s global talent development needs. You will provide operational support for leadership development to drive a multi-year leadership development strategy. This dynamic role involves equal parts curriculum development and facilitation with some project management. You will also be accountable for supporting various aspects of employee engagement including: performance management, career development, new hire orientation, culture and values. 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Develop and deliver training curriculum to employees and managers and outline appropriate delivery methods using a variety of platforms to meet team and company needs.
  • Drive enterprise-wide people manager and leadership programs and initiatives embedded with leadership success profile and framework to establish the VP leadership DNA
  • Facilitate people manager on-boarding program, Leadership Essentials, including facilitating lectures, labs and building leadership community cohorts. 
  • Implement, manage and own new corporate LMS including vendor identification, selection and implementation plan. 
  • Partner with People team members and senior leadership to revamp and deliver a robust new hire orientation program and lead the continuous effort to enhance the onboarding process and new hire experience.
  • Partner with HRBPs to create career pathing and a competency framework for critical roles/functions
  • Partner with the DEI Manager to ensure diversity is appropriately and consistently integrated across learning programs and practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments to address development needs across all business units.
  • Continuously evaluate LL&D programs and recommend changes to modify existing programs and suggest ongoing improvement by determining appropriate program metrics, targets, gaps, and goals.
  • Project manage learning and development initiatives (includes performing any necessary administrative tasks, preparing materials, etc.) to ensure training needs and deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the execution of the performance management philosophy, strategy and review cycles including training and enablement needs.
  • Create and lead the VP Learning & Development Council to share best practices, leverage preferred vendors, define consistent standards and processes for design and development and provide governance to ensure cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • At least 4-5 years of experience:
    • large and small group facilitation
    • designing and delivering learning solutions in a variety of content areas (including leadership and professional development)

  • Knowledge of learning theories and principles, including needs assessment, organizational development, and/or established industry models of evaluation
  • Exceptional facilitation skills for effective virtual training
  • Trusted Advisor mindset. Ability to develop strong relationships across the organization. Has the experience, maturity, executive presence and judgment to gain credibility and respect among business and People leadership team 
  • Thought leadership; has created leadership development programs using design principles and blending learning strategies in a progressive, “high-bar for talent” environment
  • Detail oriented with thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task, while demonstrating concern for all areas involved   
  • Strong analytical skills and naturally curious
  • Able to self-direct, highly motivated and ability to set priorities with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; navigates confidently; adapts to change
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to identify processes and organize resources to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent time management; using time effectively and efficiently while prioritizing appropriately 
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Outstanding ability to deliver presentations at all levels of an organization, to diverse audiences and groups and via multiple modalities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic technological environment
  • Working knowledge of LMS systems

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from [$101,600 to 120,000]. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for [10%] Comapny bonus, as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
