Responsible for instructional design, development, maintenance and technical production of task/job-based client training on Black Knight products/solutions. Uses state of the art tools, technologies, and methodologies to create standard and custom training programs in multiple modalities, including traditional instructor-led courses, virtual (webinar) courses, self-paced course materials, and multi-media e-learning courses that support the client’s end user programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and analyzes training needs assessments, and interviews business owners, business analysts, system developers, and other functional and technical personnel
  • Develops a solid understanding of Black Knight products to complete task analysis and determine training requirements
  • Interacts with various company experts to determine the scope of a project and to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of training programs
  • Designs and develops effective instructional materials, interactions, simulations and criterion-based assessments to support the required instructional strategy
  • Uses state of the art tools and technologies for the development, maintenance, production, and distribution of multi-media training materials/web-based training content.
  • Follows best practices in technical development and in project management to develop and track project schedules using a consistent methodology
  • Creates technical specifications for projects using approved templates and processes
  • Writes, executes, and analyzes usability studies and test plans related to course materials, e-learning strategies, and learning management systems/client training portals
  • Assesses feedback from learners to evaluate and improve effectiveness of training.
  • Supports management, coordination, and troubleshooting for aspects of client learning management systems/client training portals, and training related websites, including communication with internal and external users
  • Markets training courses and services to clients.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in instructional design, course development, technical communications, or a related field.

  • Thorough knowledge of instructional design principles and methodology
  • Understanding of adult education concepts
  • Basic understanding of banking and financial services industries
  • Knowledge of information design and mapping concepts
  • Research, analytical, problem solving skills
  • Experience deciphering technical documentation
  • Experience in eLearning development
  • Skill in preparation of course material for all training modalities
  • Skill in designing and developing simulation-based/web-based training, including storyboarding, scripting, editing
  • Skill in developing training assessments that effectively measure learner comprehension
  • Skill in production and quality control using approved templates, processes and corporate standards
  • Project management skills, including scope definition, risk assessment, estimating, and reporting; ability to prioritize and complete tasks; strong time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing course content for correct punctuation, syntax, and grammar
  • Creativity and an aptitude for graphic and visual design appropriate to the business environment and training audience
  • Proficient with authoring, design, and development tools and technology, as well as programming languages and applications related to training development
  • Ability to objectively evaluate course content /feedback, and to make improvements based on results
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with all levels within the organization, and with clients as needed, including team and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility, versatility, dependability
