This position will collaborate with the team members of PSEP, (Pesticide Safety Education Program), to create and support educational content that will assist Illinois residents in compliance with state and federal pesticide regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining online exam content within Moodle and facilitating proctoring via ProctorU.
  • Assisting clients with inquiries about our online training and testing system
  • Managing the online registration system for PSEP’s in-person training clinics.
  • Designing and managing PSEP’s online training courses within Moodle.
  • Editing audio, video, and closed captioning files for online training courses
  • Building and maintaining training course modules using Adobe Captivate or similar software.
  • Managing the PSEP Website content.
  • Pursue transitioning print publications to electronic formats.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. degree in education, computer sciences, horticulture, agriculture, entomology, plant pathology, weed sciences, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in online learning curriculum and infrastructure development. Experience using online tools to create interactive learning experiences

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Software experience in moodle, online course creation, online exams maintenance, video hosting, website maintenance (WordPress), video editing, audio editing.
  • Able to apply instructional design principles, learning theory, and educational technologies in the design and development of online learning experiences.
  • Demonstrates skills in problem solving, communication, collaboration, and organization.

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/18/2023. Salary is commensurate with experience.
