As our creative services expand, we are seeking full-time technical writers/instructional designers to join the Information Design team—a group of writers, designers, technical communicators, and other creative individuals who are passionate about improving lives. We provide creative guidance and develop compelling content, branding, documents, and trainings for a wide audience. Remote and Hybrid work options available for this positon.

Responsibilities

  • Create, evaluate, maintain, and produce effective learning materials using multi-media knowledge, strong communication skills, and usability/accessibility principles;
  • Demonstrate excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and language usage skills with the ability to write quickly, simply, and clearly;
  • Develop and provide support for professional and user-friendly tools, templates, and forms that increase efficiency, consistency, and corporate identity;
  • Liaison between development team and applicable operations team in the creation of system-related manuals and other training materials using conceptual, topic-based, task-oriented reference information;
  • Stay current on new technology, industry trends, and best practices;
  • Ensure quality standards and consistency in language, visuals, graphics, and format;
  • May be responsible for other projects and responsibilities as assigned; and
  • Collaborate with other teams to create data visualizations and present information visually.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in professional writing, technical communication, or related field;
  • Proficient knowledge of software designed for technical communication (e.g., Adobe Technical Communication Suite – specifically Captivate and RoboHelp, Adobe Creative Suite, screen capture utilities);
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365, including applying styles, using templates, and creating and editing complex documents;
  • Proven ability to develop user manuals, instructions, and training documents for specific audiences with conceptual, topic-based, and task-oriented reference information;
  • In-depth understanding of user experience and user accessibility principles;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills,
  • Desire to evolve and improve systems, functions, and experiences; and
  • Ability to learn and teach complex ideas quickly, accurately, and effectively.
