About the job
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you strongly understand the eLearning industry and instructional design. In this role, you can act as a consultant for publishing partners, guiding them to create high-quality content that will be engaging and meaningful. At this stage, you are considered a trusted advisor on the team who works collaboratively with Business Development. Process improvement is essential to our success; you are a key driver. You will participate in and lead projects that require internal and external collaboration. You will use new and existing skills to conduct quality audits and assess whether our current and future offerings meet and exceed the OpenSesame Course Quality Standards.
Job Description
- Perform routine inspections and quality tests as requested in accordance with the Course Quality Standards.
- Assist with implementing, improving, and maintaining our course quality standards.
- Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports for presentation with potential publishers
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to complete catalog improvement projects.
- Manage the quality assurance function to ensure quality production and interoperability.
- Work with our support team to identify and solve root cause issues and create QA processes that proactively test for issues that could have catalog-wide ramifications.
- Recommend actions or changes for quality improvements, ensure implementation, and coordinate training on any changes.
- Perform internal audits of all processes to verify that all prescribed quality procedures are adhered to
Performance Objectives:
From your first day, you’ll work with our Curation Team to review content for quality and fit in the OpenSesame marketplace.
In your first 30 days, you will work closely with internal business partners, including the OpenSesame Curation, to review and test courses and curriculum in order to deliver consistently high-quality, game-changing training materials to our customers.
In your first 60 days, you’ll help review our existing catalog of courses to ensure what we have added to the marketplace in the past still meets and exceeds our quality expectations. You’ll also provide guidance on existing OpenSesame publishers being considered for promotion to our OpenSesame Plus subscription. You will feel confident using the OpenSesame platform as well as the assigned project management tool and CRM tools.
In your first 90 days, you’ll become a liaison to the Business Development and Curation Team to ensure ongoing quality of the product catalog. You’ll provide input and help optimize our internal processes in order to continue to scale. You’ll also help assemble an outsourced team in order to quickly scale in the event that additional resources are needed. You will begin participating and leading efforts that contribute to the team’s OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
In your first 6 months, you’ll use your strong analytical skills to organize and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. You’ll recommend actions or changes for quality improvements, ensure implementation and conduct or coordinate training on any changes.
By the end of the year, you’ll develop and maintain documentation and training materials for QA processes, develop internal training materials, and provide ongoing technical assistance to fellow employees and external stakeholders interacting with catalog resources. You’ll also make recommendations for catalog improvement based on research and analysis.
