Job Description

The job posting is only open to current Arizona Board of Regents employees (Arizona State University, University of Arizona, or Northern Arizona University).

Under general supervision, the Enrollment Coach Lead manages an enrollment team to meet goals, develops and coordinates graduate and undergraduate student recruitment functions to include recruitment campaigns, admissions, and cultivating community partnerships. Controls planning and ensures that recruitment programs goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities.

EdPlus is a unit of the ASU Enterprise focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. Working Environment

EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in closely related field AND three (3) years previous experience in one or more of the following areas: Advising, Recruitment, Retention, Enrollment, or related academic area, including two (2) years supervisory experience OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved

Desired Qualifications

  • Evidence of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience with EdPlus at ASU Enrollment Center policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices pertaining to the assigned department
  • Experience in pulling, analyzing and applying pertinent data sets.
  • Evidence of effective communication.
  • Evidence of being able to self-direct once projects are identified, and perform as a high functioning team member in a position that requires flexibility and resiliency.
  • Experience in planning, analyzing and coordinating activities and establishing priorities.
  • Experience in designing presentation materials with an understanding of the audience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including email, spreadsheet, presentations and documents.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with recruiting high school students, transfer students, and graduate students.
  • Experience in stimulating changes in individual, institutional, and corporate behaviors to create a more sustainable environment and to lead by example in communicating, participating and encouraging support of the institution’s sustainability programs
  • Experience in delivering presentations
  • Evidence of regular activities requiring ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
  • Evidence of using critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze and report data/results of tests conducted.

Essential Duties

  • Manages team of enrollment coaches using a collaborative leadership style.
  • Achieves results that align with the larger vision of the organization and its goals through effective systems that work through and with people.
  • Develops, coordinates, and drives the implementation of plans for the recruitment of graduate and undergraduate students to meet established goals.
  • Assists in the development, editing and distribution of recruitment materials, brochures, and documents.
  • Initiates and prepares administrative reports and documents.
  • Assesses recruitment programs and events for effectiveness.
  • Works at a faster-than-average pace with a high degree of accuracy while managing a variety of activities.
  • Provides strong leadership that is firm and goal-orientated yet motivates, trains, and engages others in an enthusiastic and supportive way.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for individual colleges.
  • Works collaboratively with academic units and services throughout the University to facilitate student support.
  • Delegates tasks and provides follow-up on timeliness and quality while being accountable for results.
  • Learns quickly and easily adapts to change.
  • Solves problems with confidence while fostering the commitment of others.
  • Attends local and statewide seminars, events, workshops and conferences, if needed.
  • Recommends and monitors compliance with department policies and procedures.
  • Works effectively in an environment subject to tight deadlines and potentially conflicting priorities.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
