Primary Purpose: 

Subject is looking for curriculum writers and reviewers for upcoming courses in Math, Science, ELA, Spanish, and French. This role will be instrumental in helping Subject design students’ learning experience and how content is presented on our online platform. You will be expected to bring your expertise in standards alignment, assessment design, content creation, hands-on student learning tasks development, curriculum review, and copyediting. This role is project-dependent, with different time commitments by project.

Responsibilities include: 

1 Curriculum Writing: Write curriculum aligned to CCSS (ELA and math) or NGSS (science). This includes but is not limited to:

2 Assessment writing (domain-specific)

3 Content development for on-screen video lessons

4 Visual supports and reference resources for students

5 Student task creation:

  • hands-on lab experiences and writing activities (science)
  • equation formatting and creation (math)
  • essay planning and writing
  • text selection and formatting

 

6 Curriculum Review: Peer review curriculum for the following:

7 Standards-alignment

8 Rigor & cohesion

9 Accuracy

10 Copyediting

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Master’s degree preferred OR Single Subject Teaching Credential in specific course
  • Strong subject matter skills (specialization or certification in U.S. subject preferred)
  • Teaching experience in specific course
  • Curriculum design and development
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite and modern business tools, communication tools, presentation tools for virtual teams (Zoom, Google Meet)
