Arizona State University’s Office of the University Provost is seeking a business analyst associate to help support innovative, new technologies for student services and academic operations, including: customer relationship management systems, appointment scheduling systems, the ASU Mobile App and the ASU Chatbot.

The business analyst associate will be providing operational support for several technology solutions. Duties will include monitoring end user needs through day-to-day support, training users on systems and coordinating various small projects to ensure that systems are effectively utilized. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects at the same time. Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting
  • Activities include evaluating information and interfaces that are primarily visual using computer workstations and mobile devices
  • Required to travel moderate distances on campus and between campuses to perform work
  • Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include resolution of conflicts
  • Regular activities require the ability to clearly communicate

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or similar AND one (1) year experience in procedural, management or systems analysis work OR Five (5) years experience in procedural, management, or systems analysis work OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties

  • Monitors CRM tools and dashboards to provide timely and responsive service to end users in multiple systems
  • Supports end-user on-boarding, training, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Serves as a liaison between functional/user teams and IT teams
  • Creates business process documents and training materials
  • Consults with front-line staff, managers and leaders to understand business needs for current processes or process improvements; assists with requirements gathering and solution design to meet those needs
  • Consults with security teams and subject matter experts to identify and/or develop roles specific to users
  • Identifies process gaps and applies process improvement methodologies.
  • Supports users in developing reports and metrics
  • Helps to coordinate projects as needed, administer implementation plans and mitigate project issues to help ensure completion of all project tasks in a timely manner
