GP Strategies engages a wide variety of professionals to design and develop performance improvement/marketing programs for automotive OEMs.

GP Strategies has a need for an Automotive Trainer to lead the delivery of training, including sales, product knowledge and vehicle launch training. Training will be delivered throughout a semi regional territory of automotive dealerships.

We are looking for Automotive professionals with expertise in the following areas located across the United States:

  • Product
  • Sales
  • Warranty Administration
  • Finance and Insurance
  • Virtual & Digital Retailing

The Automotive Trainer will be responsible for establishing credibility with dealership management and customer facing dealer personnel. This requires a well-prepared professional who has a track record of delivering clear, and accurate of information in an engaging and enthusiastic manner. This is a full time, salaried position with benefits.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions in accordance with performance standards
  • Deliver extended learning with pre- & post- engagement activities
  • Develop and manage schedule to support dealer needs while working with regional personnel on direction and priorities
  • Submit schedules, rosters, activity reports & complete other administrative duties according to performance standards
  • Ability to understand processes, coach sales/dealership consultants & conduct assessments to improve effectiveness

The ideal candidate brings the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ years automotive retail sales and/or excellent facilitation, presentation and coaching skills.
  • High School diploma required; degree preferred
  • A passion for demonstrating and presenting information to dealer personnel.
  • Understanding of automotive retail environment and ability to learn assigned product line and market strategy
  • Computer literacy, time management and scheduling skills.
  • Can travel throughout territory with overnight travel required (3-4 nights per week at times)
