Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs within the organization through regular consultation with all relevant business areas who are subject matter experts (SME) and build product technical skills for INNIO’s Waukesha engine product portfolio
  • Provide leadership for the successful execution of complex training design & development projects based on organizational and individual’s needs
  • Serve as the focal point and leader to facilitate on-time completion of project deliverables from engineering, field service and other areas of the organization
  • Ensure instructor preparedness when new training products are introduced
  • Benchmark internal and external training tools and concepts for the Waukesha engine product portfolio and leverage synergies
  • Evaluate success of training and development programs and help to identify new or additional training needs based on the feedback from stakeholders
  • Work and communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve training related programs, processes and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organization Development, or related field in training (Associate degree in Training or Instructional Design in developing training programs)
  • Experience in the training and development field including the development and delivery of training programs
  • Less than 5% travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education or similar degree from an accredited university or college
  • Experience with designing and developing creative learner-centered training materials to include e-learning, instructor led material and corresponding training manuals and other virtual training delivery platforms
  • Experience translating technical information into easily understood instructional programs
  • Experience with technical/industrial machines
  • Knowledge of and proficient using tools including: e-Learning authoring software (e.g. Lectora, Articulate Storyline), multimedia production software (photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Captivate, Camtasia), Learning Management Systems, Documentation Management software, as well as the Microsoft suite
  • Change agent and self-starter that welcomes change and can evaluate, initiate and introduce new learning concepts
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and able to co-operate with others at all levels and times demonstrating strong teamwork
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to design and follow comprehensive process landscapes
  • Video creation skills a plus
