The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is among the nation’s largest producers of engineering and technology workforce talent and we are the No. 1 provider of graduates to the defense and aerospace industries. We have more than 40 degree and certificate programs within the college and are continuing to grow. The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida College of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking qualified candidates for an Academic Program Coordinator II. The Academic Program Coordinator II coordinates the recruitment, planning, evaluation, assessment, and implementation of academic programs. This position assists with projects and other items that present the need for academic support. The Academic Program Coordinator II conducts research and provides administrative support to leadership and academic program coordinators as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare institutional and other school-related reports and documents.
  • Analyze data, generate, and disseminate periodic reports.
  • Conduct research and provide administrative support including planning, evaluation, assessment, and curriculum changes implemented by faculty.
  • Provide clerical support such as word processing, filing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Maintain inventory and prepare requests for office supplies.
  • Request equipment and prepare requests for office supplies.
  • Request equipment repairs as necessary.
  • Coordinate room reservations and document disposition.
  • Develop and implement marketing efforts for various programs.
  • Assist with various university academic program workshops, activities, and initiatives.
  • Compile and maintain student enrollment data and records.
  • Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality as it relates to student records.
  • Answer routine inquiries from students, faculty, and administrators.
  • Prepare acceptance letters and program packets.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with academic advising, student services, career development, and other departments.
  • Provide phone coverage; screen and direct calls to appropriate faculty/departments.
  • Assist in developing and implementing goals and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree.
