Job Summary
The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design is seeking qualified Academic Advisors to assist in the advising of our undergraduate and graduate student body of over 2000. Academic advising is a professional relationship marked by a series of purposeful interactions, rooted in theory and pedagogy, and driven by a set of learning outcomes. Westphal College welcomes qualified applicants to apply to join our existing team of six advisors. The applicant will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in a related field such as psychology, counseling, or education with 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in student services.
The Westphal College is comprised of seven departments: Digital Media; Design; Cinema & Television; Architecture, Design & Urbanism; Performing Arts; Arts & Entertainment Enterprise; and Art & Art History. The College has more than two thousand students and is one of the largest of Drexel’s fourteen schools and colleges. Drexel is located in the heart of Philadelphia, a vibrant city that nurtures the arts and is the fourth largest television market in the country. The Westphal College offers seventeen award-winning and accredited undergraduate and seven graduate degree programs.
